An Interesting Point on the Cost of Millennials

Supposedly Millennials have a reputation for job-hopping; there's a cost to that.

A quick search found that in a recent Gallup poll over 20% of those born between 1980 and 1996 have changed jobs within the past year, at a (turnover) cost of ~$30.5 billion annually to the U.S. economy.

That figure takes into account: recruitment effort and interviewing costs, retraining time and the lowered productivity curve, lost knowledge, and overworked remaining staff.

So...if ever there is a time to make sure we're engaging our (young) staff, it is now!

What are you doing at your org to make sure that engagement is happening?
